Hi friends! It’s a brand new year (decade even!), so let’s all get back on our game with a 8-week body composition challenge! Starting on 1/20 and going through 3/20, the goal is to see how much you can improve your body composition thru improved diet and regular workouts. The exercise part is easy; just show up to classes consistently and do the work. The nutrition part is up to you, and that’s where the magic happens. There’s no right or wrong way to do it (Whole 30, Keto, IF, Paleo, Zone, IIFYM, etc.), as long as you do it in a way that’s thoughtful and sustainable.

Now for an exciting twist…

If you’ve done a challenge with us before, you know that beginning and end body comp testing has been a pain in the butt. Well, meet the new standard: the InBody 270. We now have one of these beauties in-house and will be doing all our testing this way from now on. The test is completely painless, takes 30 seconds, and you get your results immediately. Once that’s done, we’ll interpret those results and start working on a plan to increase lean mass (aka GET STRONGER) and drop body fat (aka GET LEANER).

Here are the important details:

  • $50 entry fee (covers everything).
      • $20 to the prize pot; 1st place gets 60% of the pot, 2nd place gets 40%. Prizes awarded as CFC account credit.
      • $30 to cover beginning and end body comp tests (this was $50+ in the past!).
      • Entry fee will be run through your CFC member account (no cash).

  • Monday, January 20th – The challenge begins! (although you can start sooner… why wait?).
  • Late entries will be accepted under the following conditions:
    • The full $50 entry fee is due.
    • Get tested ASAP (contact Steve).
  • Friday, March 20th – The challenge is over, let’s see how you did!
    • End body comp retests must happen by Sunday, March 29th. No exceptions.
  • The two participants that show the biggest drop in body fat percentage are our big winners!!
    • Measured as (Start BF% - End BF%) / Start BF%.
    • This means everyone can compete, whether you have a little to lose or a lot.
  • Winners will be announced on Monday, March 30th.
